Selection Criteria
To be inducted into the Fredonia Athletics Hall of Fame, a student-athlete must have graduated from Fredonia at least 10 years prior to nomination. The alumnus must have participated in an outstanding manner in athletics or contributed significantly to the athletics program during their time at the University. The nominee must also be of worthy citizenship and a positive role model in his/her professional involvement.
An athletic department staff member must have served at least five years as a coach or administrator at the University, and have made a significant contribution to the department in coaching and/or administration.
An honorary nominee must have contributed to the support and promotion of the athletic program at Fredonia in a highly significant manner over an extended period of time.
Selection to the Hall of Fame
To be selected to the Fredonia Athletics Hall of Fame, the nominee must be voted upon by all members of the Hall of Fame committee, and he/she shall be required to receive at least 80% of Committee's vote to be elected to the Hall of Fame.
All names of persons nominated who are not selected for induction, for the year they are nominated, shall remain on the list and be considered each year for a period of three Hall of Fame cycles before being removed from the list.
